Night Talk
Night Talk, Three-channel HD video installation rear projected onto solar shades, variable loop, 2017
Documentation of a month-long, site-responsive project that turned Columbia University's new Renzo Piano-designed Lenfest Center for the Arts into a talking building. Each evening, the shades on the top two floors of the building would come down, ceiling-mounted projectors would turn themselves on and "Lenny" - short for Lenfest - would blink on. Lenny the building spoke (through text), smiled, licked his lips, cried, and revealed his inner thoughts to passersby.
